Gino Santos’ journey on the court began at the age of ten, quickly evolving into a
day-or-night, rain-or-shine commitment to the game. That relentless drive carried him
through high school, where he established himself as a standout varsity Libero.
His time in the back row sharpened his defensive eye and forged the grit required to compete
at a high level.
Transitioning from player to mentor, Gino spent five years at Ohlone College as a member
of the volleyball staff. During this time, he was deeply involved in the daily operations of the program—
taking statistics, breaking down game film, analyzing strategy, and running drills and training sessions.
This hands-on experience accelerated his understanding of player development from the sidelines.
Gino’s coaching career is marked by significant milestones on the club circuit. During his tenure at
Tremors Volleyball Club (2014–2016), he secured a Girls Junior National Championship bid.
Most recently, at Mountain View Volleyball Club (2021–2025), he continued his winning tradition—
earning a national bid with Girls 12s and leading his Girls 14s team to a 3rd-place finish
at the Far Westerns Tournament in Reno.
Elite performance is not a gift—it is a standard. Gino coaches athletes to push beyond perceived
“talent ceilings” by developing a psychological edge that holds under pressure. His training environments
emphasize execution over excuses and discipline over impulse, preparing athletes
to dominate high-stakes moments where others fold. On the court, the most dangerous weapon is a mind
that refuses to break.
