Coach Rose brings a wealth of experience and a nurturing approach to our youngest athletes, making her a perfect fit for our U12 program. She has led Blue Banner’s U12 team, camps, and clinics with enthusiasm, precision, and a deep love for teaching the fundamentals of the game.

Growing up with four brothers meant learning to play football, basketball, and baseball at a young age. This early exposure to sports sparked a competitive spirit that led her to excel in piano and swimming throughout high school. In college, Rose discovered the excitement of team sports and spent decades competing in softball, indoor, beach and grass volleyball. 

Rose has coached volleyball for nearly a decade, beginning with USYVL before moving into CYO programs in San Francisco and Alameda. Her determination and growth as a coach eventually opened doors to coaching high school athletes in Alameda. While she loves working with older players on strategy, her heart lies in helping young athletes build a strong foundation through discipline, fundamentals, and a growth mindset.

When she’s not coaching, you can find Rose diving into a good book, solving puzzles, watching men’s volleyball and baseball, or enjoying a cozy moment with her two black cats—Bubzy Wubzy and Boba. She also enjoys knitting, home renovation projects, and the occasional DIY challenge.
