Are’s journey in athletics began at just six years old, kicking off her love for sports with soccer and softball. By age eight, she had transitioned into a dual-sport path that would carry her all the way through high school: softball and volleyball.

As a dominant pitcher, Arè was already playing up an age division by the time she was nine. At just 10 years old, she earned a spot on her first Power 12s volleyball team, marking the start of a competitive volleyball career that included a CCS championship her senior year and a trip to AAU Junior Nationals.

Today, Arè is both a collegiate player-coach for Northeastern University’s Club Volleyball team and the head coach of Julian Moore Middle School’s volleyball program. Don’t let her age fool you—at 19, she’s already a leader who demonstrates poise, wisdom, and reliability far beyond her years.

As a Computer Science major, Arè applies her technical skills to real-world operations at Blue Banner, managing our club’s travel logistics, booking requirements, and even supporting uniform design and distribution. Her ability to design and execute systems with precision makes her an integral part of the Blue Banner—whether she’s coordinating a national tournament trip or solving a software problems before practice starts.
