Coach Rose
Growing up with four brothers meant learning to play football, basketball, and baseball at a young age. This early exposure to various sports led me to compete in piano and swimming throughout high school. In college, I discovered the thrill of team sports and spent decades competing in softball, volleyball, and sand volleyball until I became a mother. Despite the changes in my life, I remain an avid softball player.
I have coached volleyball for nearly 10 years, starting with USYVL before moving to CYO in San Francisco and Alameda. After years of persistence, I finally had the opportunity to coach older players at the high school level in Alameda. The most fulfilling aspects of coaching for me are developing younger players with strong fundamentals and work ethics and guiding more advanced players in strategic aspects of the game.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles, engaging in home renovation projects, watching men’s volleyball and baseball, knitting, and cuddling with our two sweet black cats, Bubzy Wubzy and Boba.
